  • Posterior ulna
    • Distal 1/3
  • Posteriore interosseus membran
    • Distal 1/3

  • Dorsal aponeurosis 2. finger

  • RU-joint

Nerve innervation

  • Segmental
    • C7-C8
  • Peripheral
    • Posterior interosseous nerve

Arterial supply

  • Posterior interosseous artery
  • Anterior interosseous artery

Palpation

  • Patient position
    • Sitting
  • Ask the patient to keep the lower arm in full pronation
  • Place your hand at the distal 1/3 of ulna posteriorly
  • Ask the patient to extend the index finger while you feel for the contraction
