Origin:
- Zygomatic bone in front of temporal process
Insertion:
- Modilous lateral to the angle of the mouth
- Blends with other adjacents muscles of the mouth
Main function:
- Elevates the angle of the mouth
Secondary function:
- Draws angle of the mouth laterally
Nerve innervation:
- Segmental:
- Facial nerve, CN VII
- Peripheral:
- Buccal branches
Arterial supply:
- Facial artery
Zygomaticus minor
Position:
- Superficial
Origin:
- Zygomatic bone
Insertion:
- Orbicularis oris of upper lip

- Elevates the upper lip

- Everts the upper lip
